Qualifications for the 2023 Schwarzman Scholars Program

Candidates for the Schwarzman scholarships must have exceptional leadership abilities, the potential to foresee and act on trends and changes in their setting, a great intellectual capacity, and excellent character.

• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• Be between the ages of 18 and 28 as of August 1, 2024.
• Have a strong command of the English language because it will be used for all instruction.

. If English is not the applicant’s first language, official English proficiency test results must be included with the application.

Applicants who attended an undergraduate institution where English was the major medium of instruction for at least two years of their academic degree are exempt from this criterion.

.The prerequisite will also not be required of applicants who have completed two years or more of study in English at the Master’s degree level or higher.

. Acceptable test choices include: Test of English as a Foreign Language via the internet (TOEFL iBT).  a 100 minimum score. IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System. Minimum rating: 7. Advanced (C1) or Proficiency (C2) levels of Cambridge English are available. Minimum rating of 185.
