Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa Scholarship 2023/2024 For African Students To Study In Liberia; The Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa Scholarship applicant should be aware that this scholarship represents an investment by the university in the recipient’s long-term development and the advancement of the community at large. The candidate should explain how she will use her time spent studying abroad and her postgraduate degree to advance holistic transformation locally or globally, ensure that everyone has access to equal opportunities, and support a population that is at peace, at peace with itself, and empowered in her own country.

Eligibility: Scholarships and financial aid are given out in accordance with eligibility and academic performance (3.5 GPA or 85%). All submissions will be evaluated by the scholarship committee, and the winners will be announced on GPFA websites. However, we strongly encourage female candidates to apply for our financial aid and scholarship programs.

Selection Standards:

  • It is advised that the candidate provide examples or a personal narrative that highlight leadership qualities, personal fortitude, and active participation in developing me. • Preference will be given to a candidate who has demonstrated evidence of upholding the ethos of the Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa through sustained personal growth, involvement in community development, and a strong commitment to the advancement and education of women and youth in her home country.
  • The successful applicant should be ready to use the scholarship not only as an educational experience but also as a chance to immerse herself in a different culture, while fostering understanding of her own country and culture among students and the local community of Dundee.
  • The applying candidate of the Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa Scholarship should address how she hopes to become involved in University or local societies, activities, and/or organizations, and how she will support.
